I'm
a red headed Irish woman who's
stubborn enough to pull tug of
war and also run for Miss
Shamrock. I work hard and play
hard in anything I do tug
of war, marketing, volunteering and
would do the same as Miss
Shamrock. I work for an Irish
CPA firm and have been to
Ireland twice in the last two
years. I live for St. Paul's
Irish Fair and Milwaukee's Irish
Fest what can I say, I
love my Irish heritage and would
be proud to represent as Miss
Shamrock for 2010! |

I think that I would
make a great Miss Shamrock for
several reasons. I have always
been very proud of my Irish
background and enjoy expressing it
in every aspect. I am very
creative and believe I can use
my creativity and outgoing people
skills to make an impression within
the community. I have always
been the type of person to put
others first, I enjoy contributing
and giving back to my community.
With these things being said,
I know I am a great candidate
to represent the SPA as Miss
Shamrock 2010. |

I am enthusiastic about
joining the Irish team to celebrate
a heritage that not only Irish
descents can appreciate, but all
heritages. I have lived in St.
Paul for 8 years and love the
tradition of "small town",
support your local "feel".
The "Pubs" are my
favorite. |

My Irish heritage
is so important to me and it
would be an honor having the
chance to represent that passion
as Miss Shamrock 210. Combining my
enthusiasm for all things Irish
with my love of community
involvement would make me an ideal
candidate for Miss Shamrock. It
would be very fulfilling to give
back to the wonderful community of
St. Paul, where I was born.
This position would give me the
chance to do just that and
so much more. My family proudly
wears the Hartigan name and every
year on St. Patrick’s Day it’s
a tradition to gather together to
celebrate our families legacy. If
I’m named Miss Shamrock I know
I would not only be representing
my family but all the Irish
families within St. Paul area and
what a wonderful privilege that
would be. The Hartigan coat of
arms translation is one of
loyalty, truth, strength, courage and
majesty. I would love the
opportunity to use all of those
assets and become the next Miss
Shamrock on behalf of the St.
Paul Association.

I believe I would
make a great Miss Shamrock because
I am very outgoing and love
meeting new people and promoting
the interests of the different groups
that I am involved with. I
always know how to make things
fun and am able to get
everyone to participate in the
activity. I enjoy keeping busy,
especially volunteering for great
organizations.

I come from a very
large Irish family ‐ on both
sides. We have a motto that we
live by: "The more, the
merrier". We apply this motto
to people, food, drink, and fun.
But most important, we truly believe
that there is always room for
everyone. As Miss Shamrock, I would
be great at spreading Irish cheer
throughout the community through my
love of family, faith, and fun.
When I visited Ireland in college,
I immediately felt like I was
at home. Every person I met
was very hospitable and went out
of their way to talk to me
or help me. My strong family
background and outgoing personality will
help me to bring the hospitable
nature of Ireland's people to our
ow community |

I’m very proud of
my Irish heritage and would be
honored to represent the St.
Patrick’s Association as Miss
Shamrock. I’ve been an active
participant in the parade since I
was a little girl and have
always thought of St. I
would be committed to the role
of Miss Shamrock and happy to
serve the community as a
representative of the association.

I think it would be
a great opportunity to make some
friends, get involved in the
community, and have some fun!
I think I have a great
personality and it would definitely
make my grandpa proud! Going
to the parade has always been
a tradition in my family and
March 17 just so happens to be
my birthday! If given the
opportunity, I know I would
represent the St. Pat’s Association
well. |

I think I would make
a great Miss Shamrock because this
position requires a desire to build
community. This is a wonderful
opportunity to educate people about
Irish heritage and build community
in St. Paul as a CA at MSU
Mankato, I have had a lot of
experience doing this. |

My name is
Quinn which is Gaelic. There are
two translations, one is Queen and
the other wise. I've never had
the opportunity to be a Wise
Queen before but I would be
honored to be yours! I would
love to be Miss Shamrock 2010
and honor my great grandmothers and
my Irish Heritage. I love meeting
new people and experiencing new
things. I also love the beautiful
city of Saint Paul. It would
be incredible to be in the
magnificent parade I watch every
March and to be a part of
all the other festivities throughout
the year. |
