Joe Soucheray & Matt Michalski

Joe Soucheray
Host of the Garage Logic® Radio Program on AM 1500 KSTP

Joe Soucheray is the Twin Cities' preeminent purveyor of common sense…not to mention the Twin Cities' most listened to local talk show host. Well know for his philosophy that "anything that needs to be figured out, can be figured out in the garage," Joe became the self-appointed mayor of Garage Logic, Minnesota…more a state of mind than an actual place on a map. Joe's wit and wisdom can make people laugh or think with equal ease and has made Garage Logic® an unprecedented phenomenon in radio.

Soucheray joined AM 1500 KSTP in April of 1993, and his approach to the days' big issues and hottest topics with common sense and a sense of humor resonated so deeply with Minnesotans that demand grew quickly for his show state-wide. Hubbard Broadcasting Inc. later made Garage Logic® available to listeners around the state with the creation of the Hubbard Radio Network in August of 1999, and is currently made up of 23 affiliate stations around the region still tuning in to Joe's program.

Matt Michalski
Born and raised in St. Paul, MN, Matt Michalski (a.k.a. "The Rookie") graduated from Nativity Grade School and Cretin High School. After two years of academic probation at the University of Minnesota (go ahead and check), he packed it in and headed for Brown Institute. After 18 months, Rookie earned a degree in Radio & Television Applied Sciences. Rookie is now happily married to his high school sweetheart and resides back in St. Paul with their four children.

Matt started in April 1991 on Monday Night SportsTalk™ and, based upon his extensive broadcast experience, Patrick Reusse nicknamed him, yet years later he remains labeled as a first-year trainee. Matt has proven his high school counselor incorrect by finding a career where he can continue to be the class clown. Prior to being employed by Hubbard Broadcasting, Inc. and AM 1500 KSTP, Rookie held several colorful jobs before . They included: movie theatre projectionist, WWA wrestling announcer, bicycle helmet salesman, clown, Ninja Turtle entertainer at birthday parties and snowplow operator.

These days Rookie is the producer SportsTalk™, every weekday from 2:00-4:00pm, followed by Joe Soucheray's Garage Logic® show from 4:00-6:00pm, as well as Saturday Morning SportsTalk™, heard Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to Noon on on AM 1500 KSTP. In addition to being broadcast on AM 1500, both shows are also distributed on the Hubbard Radio Network, currently reaching 22 stations around the region.
