Celebrity Grand Marshal 2010

Kevin Ryan & Robin Caufman

Kevin Ryan - Kevin Ryan, manager of transitways construction for the Central Corridor Light Rail project, grew up in St. Paul’s Nativity Parish and enjoys all of the city’s Irish activities.  He’s honored to represent the largest public works project in the history of Minnesota at this year’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

Kevin has over 25 years experience managing construction in both the public and private sector throughout the U.S.  Besides working, he likes to travel, especially to Ireland, where he once hiked through the countryside near Murroe (pronounced Muh-ROO), outside of Limerick, to find the 1858 gravesite of his last known Irish-born relative, Darby Ryan.  Here at home, he enjoys sports, history, and family time with his wife, three adult children, and new grandbaby Tesah.

Robin Caufman – With the Met Council since 2001, Robin was a planning analyst/sector representative before she became manager of public involvement for the Central Corridor LRT Project.  Her previous Met Council job involved coordinating outreach and regional planning activities with cities in Hennepin County.  She has a master’s degree in urban and regional planning from the University of Minnesota’s Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs and bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Minnesota’s College of Natural Resources.
