THE
IRISH OPEN
Well
folks we are going to have a second Annual Irish Open golf tournament and
everyone is invited. We had so much fun last year and raised a substantial
amount of monies for charity. We have chosen the same real Irish links
golf course, the Mississippi Dunes so you’ll think you’re playing in
the Irish Open in
Ireland
.
The Mississippi Dunes International Links golf course in
Cottage Grove
is a beautiful golf course along the
Mississippi river
. It’s in fabulous condition and features a very tournament-professional

We will play a
Texas
scramble format with 5 somes. It will be a 2:00 p.m. shotgun on Sunday,
Aug. 22nd- rain or shine. We will have an authentic Irish
dinner with Irish corned beef and cabbage, shepherd’s pie, Irish stew,
and soda bread. We will have prizes for the longest drives, longest putts,
closest-to-the-hole, a cash putting contest, and best authentic outfits
such as golf Knickers, slacks, Bermuda shorts, etc.
Golf, carts, dinner, and prizes will cost only $100 per person.
We’ll have dinner-only tickets available for non-golfers and a cash bar
for beverages on and off the course.
Since this tournament will raise some monies for charities, we will have
sponsorship signs on each tee with only one sponsor on each of the 18
holes so each company will get unique recognition. The hole sponsorship
charge will be $200 and the sponsorship sign for the putting green will be
only $300. We will have the signs printed up and placed on the tees and
putting green and the practice tee.

We
hope you all will be involved in playing in the tournament, showing up for
